Sara Sada

Chief of Staff

Sara Sada started her career with the Broward Sheriff's Office as an intern before joining the agency full time in 2003. Throughout her career, Sara served as a crime analyst in the Department of Detention and Community Programs, a community affairs specialist in External Affairs and a quality assurance coordinator for the agency's offender supervision programs. Sara was instrumental in achieving initial accreditation status for the misdemeanor probation division through FCAC and re-accreditation for both Pretrial Services and Probation with 100% compliance.

In 2019, she returned to serve as the community affairs manager. Sheriff Gregory Tony appointed her Deputy Chief of Staff in October 2021 and Chief of Staff in June 2022.

Sara has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a master's degree in criminology and criminal justice from Florida Atlantic University. In 2022, she earned a Certificate of Specialization in Leadership and Management from Harvard Business School. Sara has worked as an adjunct criminal justice professor with Nova Southeastern University and ITT Technical Institute. She is also a Florida certified law enforcement officer and held certifications as a CPR instructor, child safety seat technician and accreditation assessor with FCAC.

Sara has had the fortunate opportunity to support non-profit organizations throughout her career. She has been an integral part of the planning committee for the MADD Law Enforcement Recognition Dinner since 2014 and the Sheriff's Foundation of Broward County golf tournament committee since its inception in 2012.
