Major Jeff Cirminiello began his law enforcement career in 1996 with the Lighthouse Point Police Department. He joined the Broward Sheriff's Office, Dania Beach District in 1998 where he worked as a road patrol deputy and detective. In 2004, he was promoted to sergeant where he supervised the Narcotics Interdiction Task Force and Gang Unit, in addition to various other special task forces and units.

In 2016, Major Cirminiello was promoted to lieutenant where he was assigned as the Patrol Commander for the cities of Tamarac and Pompano Beach. In 2018, he was promoted to captain and was assigned to the Department of Administration. In November 2019, Major Cirminiello was selected as the District Chief for the City of Tamarac. He was promoted to major in the Department of Administration in March 2023.

Major Cirminiello holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Business Administration from St. Thomas University. He is also a graduate of the University of Louisville's Southern Police Institute Command Officers Development Program.
