Lieutenant Sophia Ringrose CCN 14178 began her career at the Broward Sheriff's Office on February 28, 2005, as a Detention Cadet in the Broward County Sheriff's Office Academy #11 at the Public Safety Building.  She was assigned to the Paul Rein Facility as her first assignment.  She proceeded to work various facilities to include Stockade, North Broward Bureau, and the Joseph V. Conte.  Throughout her career she has worked with all classification of inmates to include Pregnant Females, Mental Health, Juveniles, and General Population.  Ringrose was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in February, 2015, and has worked as a supervisor at the Conte and North Broward Bureau Facilities.  On November 2019, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned at the Central Intake Bureau followed by the Paul Rein Facility.  On October 9, 2021, she was appointed the Executive Office position at the Central Intake Bureau where she is currently  assigned. 

Lieutenant Ringrose is a Graduate of the Honolulu Community College where she acquired an Associate of Science in Administrative Justice.  She also received an Associate in Criminal Justice at the Palm Beach State College followed by a  Bachelor in Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University.  She attended the Women's Leadership Academy in 2019.  Last but not least, Lieutenant Ringrose is also a proud veteran of the United States Army and served from June 1999 through June 2003.
