General Counsel Terrence Lynch has practiced law since 1997. In May 2000, Mr. Lynch joined the Broward Sheriff's Office as an Assistant Legal Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel.  During his 24-year career with the Broward Sheriff's Office, Mr. Lynch has worked closely with all departments within BSO, gaining a wide range of experience in all facets of the agency.  As General Counsel, Mr. Lynch oversees a staff of nine attorneys and nine support staff, who are responsible for a wide-range of legal issues, including litigation, procurement, contracts, employment, policy review, and confiscations. Prior to joining BSO, he worked as a Judicial Staff Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in Broward County, providing legal research assistance and legal guidance to several circuit court judges. Mr. Lynch earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and his law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law.
