Driver Engineer Timothy J. Schaefer

Driver Engineer Tim Schaefer was born in Miami in1963. He was a volunteer firefighter from 1981 to 1984. In October 1984, Schaefer began his career with Broward County Fire Rescue. In 1990 he began teaching at the Broward Fire Academy and became a state certified paramedic in May 1995. He loved his job at the Fire Department, second only to his family. Driver/Engineer Schaefer passed away at the age of 38 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his son, Nicholas; and his
