Deputy Michael D. Ryan

Deputy Michael D. Ryan passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Deputy Ryan served with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Department of Detention for 13 years. On December 15, 2017, Deputy Ryan was on duty at the Broward Sheriff’s Office Main Jail when he collapsed in the parking lot. He was transported to Broward Health Medical Center where doctors and staff provided treatment and care until he passed away on New Year’s Eve surrounded by his immediate family.
