Patricia C. Funderburk began her career with the Broward Sheriff's Office in 1998 as a fingerprint analyst.  In 2002, she was promoted to supervisor, and in 2013 Mrs. Funderburk was promoted to manager of the Biometric Identification Unit. 

Mrs. Funderburk holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from St. John's University. Additionally, she is a graduate of the 2011 Supervisor Leadership Academy. Mrs. Funderburk is a Certified Tenprint Examiner and a Board Member of the Tenprint Certification Board of the International Association for Identification.
