
Colonel Steve Robson
Department of Preparedness & Response/Special Operations
Colonel Steven Robson began his law enforcement career with BSO in 1997 and has served in a variety of assignments, including road patrol, narcotics investigations, major investigations, support services, special operations, and instructing.
Prior to serving as Colonel of the Department of Preparedness and Response, Colonel Robson was the Major and Executive Director of Training and Organizational Development. In this position, he was responsible for providing training to all the diverse facets of BSO and developing the best abilities for our BSO personnel to perform their duties. Prior to serving as the Major, Colonel Robson was the Captain of the Special Operations Group and was the S.W.A.T. Commander. There, he was responsible for all tactical operations for all high-risk incidents requiring a S.W.A.T. Team response. In 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Colonel.
Colonel Robson earned his bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Barry University in Miami. He is also a Certified Firearms Instructor, Certified SWAT Operator and Certified High Liability Instructor. Colonel Robson is an active member of the Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) and the National Tactical Officer's Association (N.T.O.A.). In August 2022, Colonel Robson received his Masters in Public Administration from Lynn University.
